Root, Root, Root for the DODGERS!

It was Monrovia Ward Mormon Night, and we had a good crew go from our ward. There were plenty of peanuts and bounteous bathroom trips. It was a lovely evening though, and plus we got a great parking spot. Missed ya'll at good ol' DOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDGGGERRRRRRR STADIUM!!!!
{And despite all our Root Root Rooting, they lost, and dad and I missed every single point scored.}

  1. How fun is that, I don't know which is more fun the post or the
    "poster" It is fun you were able to go see a good game. It is too bad that they lost. But it looks like you had a good time.

    P.S. Is there a story about the "bounteous" trips to the bathroom? It seems like a good story or something that you don't want to be shared. Either way it sounds like an interesting cliffhanger that I am dying to find out.

  2. Robb,
    I will tell you some of the back stories:
    FIRST: Rachel had rehearsal 'til 7pm, but it was a late game time. We heard Vinnie's welcome on the car radio, "wherever you may be..." and were walking across the lot (from our "great parking spot") by the time the first pitch was thrown. When we sat down, about 12 minutes later, the score was 3-zip. What we heard later was - the 1st batter was hit by a pitch, the 2nd homered, then the 3rd batter homered. Nothing else happened until the Dodgers got their first runner to 2nd base in the bottom of the 9th.
    SECOND: We sat by little Alison Menlove (Mom Menlove didn't come) and proceeded to see Rick Bird (who sponsored the night) and Ryan and John Hanke fill her up with almost every possible ballpark treat. And this is after Rick Bird treated the ward to Dodger Dogs at the ward before the game. Boy was she hyped up. Rachel told me that on the way back from one b'room trip Alison exclaimed, "let's run... fast!"
    THIRD: The worst news... worse than the LA loss, and half the reason I went... was the trinket shop did NOT have Dodger PEZ. I couldn't believe it. Even tho' it probably would have cost $10 it would have been fun to get the companion to the recently acquired Red Sox PEZ AT Dodger Stadium.
    FORTH: Rach is a fun date... probably our last date before she goes to college.

  3. ok, that fills in a lot of the blanks, and makes a lot more sense than I was imagining. and too bad about the PEZ. I am sure it will pop up when you least expect it
