The picture that would have been fun to post was Dad leaping up and punching the air - a couple of times, "Yeaaaahhhessss!!" The likelihood of finding the lost lug nut in our own driveway ... when that car drives from Westwood to Cucamongo regularly... is such a wonder, it is certainly just shy of a miracle. No matter what happened the rest of the day it is a GOOD DAY!

The Miracle of the Lug Nut
Several weeks ago a lug nut on the Camry was lost. It happened shortly after the spare was put on (due to hole getting ripped in the sidewall of the right front tire ... but that's another story.). The lug nuts are special for the cool wheels on the Camry and do not seat well on the spare tire rim, thus the loss. Being "special", the lug nuts are not easy to replace and not in units of "1". So, Dad has been chagrined about the whole thing. It was particularly on his mind today because he rotated the tires early this morning and checked the brakes and had to decide which would be the underprivileged 4-lug-nut-wheel .
Then while hosing down the driveway late this afternoon (it was a mess from the high winds we have had) Dad hosed the leaves away from under the ivy hedge at the end of the driveway. And there was a shining object. No... Yess... No.. Yessss.

I was at the grocery store when I received the call from dad about his great find. I would have loved to see dad's celebration dance in the driveway (wonder if the neighbors saw anything)- we are all so happy for you dad - and that you take such good care of our cars.
