Thursday night was Monrovia's Christmas Parade. It was threatening to rain - dad was still sanding (he did all day), the girls were #92 - right before Santa and I wasn't all that thrilled about going by myself, being cold and being taken away from some of my Christmas preparations. I was truly rewarded though - Upon arriving on Myrtle, I remembered how much I love that parade, how I love bumping into people I know and love, seeing people in the parade that we know and it ended up being freakishly warm - which sometimes happens right before a downpour. I got home before it rained - but the girls caught the beginning of it. I LOVE MONROVIA!!!!
Those sure are some cute Centre Stage Elves. I am glad the rain help up. I remember the Christmas parade when Jason was a freshman and marched with the band playing the trumpet. The sight brought mom to tears. I also remember when I was in eighth grade and in tall flags. It was raining and everyone kept dropping their flags because the poles were so slippery. Thanks for the memories.
ReplyDeleteThere never was a cuter bunch of elves.
ReplyDeleteI do so remember Jason marching in the Christmas Parade with his great looking green uniform and his shiny trumpet gleaming. I don't know why - but the pride just filled up and ran out of my eyes.
