We've stained the windows, door and pre-stained the crown molding and trim. And we have ripped the lengths of crown molding nailer. (The crown molding is ready to go and with a good strapping Jefferson helper home for a long weekend we plan to get some installed. Now, all the rest of you Cornwall's don't feel too bad that Jeff gets the good fortune.)
We were very thrilled to find "our" stain color right out of the can. Mom and Dad went to many different paint stores to find "traditional cherry". FYI... The rest of the house is done with a cocktail of stain colors to get just what we wanted in the beginning.)
We even got 2 coats of varnish on the door and windows.

I shouldn't get any credit for the stain color - other than thinking it is a perfect match. Your dad is an amazing guy - he works so hard and it is really looking great. I think this weekend's work will make a huge difference in how the room looks and feels. I am so excited.
