Dad has been worried that everyone would be so bored or so "over" our trip that these posts the last few days would be a very old news. I have encouraged him to do indepth posts so that we can recall and remember this wonderful trip that he planned, funded and transported us on. I consider this blog a pictorial journal, a living scrapbook of sorts and I wanted every day documented. The map above is dad's last effort for our "Boston Bound" journey. It really shows our route (check out the direction arrows - red dots for where we stayed, blue dots for where we toured). We were so very thankful for the occasion of the trip, we are so happy for Robb and Marybeth. We were happy that our individual circumstances allowed us to do a little touring. It is something I know that I will remember for a very very long time.
The best part was sharing it all together and that everyone wanted to be part of it AND everyone enjoyed being together. We were sometimes in close quarters with a few longs drives, early rises and a few days of upheaval. That's what being a (great) family is all about. Love you all.
ReplyDeleteYea! Now there will be plenty of room to post about OTHER comings and goings.
WOW!!!! That is a cool map, how did you do it?? Just when I think posting on the blog has kind of hit a plateau, something new and exciting comes along. Does anyone remember when we use to talk if there would ever be videos on the blog?
ReplyDeleteWell the trip was great, the posts of the trip were great and we look forward to all the future trips and future posts.
Please continue, I like to see it all again!
ReplyDeleteJas, I was Googling for a map of New England. A site I came across said that the map they were showing was made with Microsoft "Streets & Trips". I remembered that I used to have that program but when I reformated my computer last year I did not put it on because I always MapQuest everything. I reloaded it this morning from Microsoft Works CD and learned how to do some of the things you see.
ReplyDeleteThe only hard part was converting it into a format that I could browse for it and bring it up in Blogger.
Look out! I am really going to be able to plan some great trips now.
