88 dance and voice students took to the stage for this years "Lights" recital. Rachel and Sarah are spectacular. But I guess you, the viewer will soon be the judge of that.
They provided plenty of material so make sure you have about 20 minutes to watch - or you will be late for wherever you need to go because you won't be able to stop the music!

IT WAS AMAZING!!! I feel bad for the Andersons and Robb Cornwalls that you don't get to watch it in person. Fortunately dad as given you as close an opportunity as possible - 17 minutes worth. I'm so excited to go tonight too!! (and to kiss my Paisley)

Sarah: cute shirt with the 3/4 length sleves. You look so grown up.
Rachel: I didn't know you were singing "Tonight." You make a great Anita. I love the costume.
I really liked the first song but didn't recognize it, what is it?
I love the cute warm ups!!!
Rachel: You are a W-O-M-A-N, you too Sarah, what has happened to my two little sisters!!!!!
Rachel: Did you have a side pony the whole time? Bringing back the 80's, you are the one who can do it.
Girls: Great facial expressions. You are so fun to watch.
Sarah: I am glad Kristen F. did Lights because it looks like you two were able to sing together alot.
RAP in Lights? It isn't my favorite but Sarah your Hip Hop was great.
Rachel: I didn't know you were singing wizard and I. Great costume. Love the glasses, are they yours or fake? I loved the cut of the songs and your acting and singins were impressive.
Sarah: Emerald City was amazing especailly since you stood out so much in that cute yellow dress. My goodness you also sounded great.
I liked the preview to Millie for the upcoming production in May.
He Lives in You. Go MODERN. It was a YA moment for me because that song has been in the YA show forever.
Girls: Where did you get those sparkely outfits. I remeber the first lights and those sparkely dresses. What was the medley you were singing? Avenue Q?
Can't have a complete lights without Will Rogers and his girls.
All shoock up reminded me of MDT showcase last year. That was our opener. Alex sounded great. Our closer for MDT showcase this year is the color Purple. It is really pretty.
You girls deserve to be in the LIGHTS with your dancing feet and your singing voices. I wish I could be there with you but I am glad I was able to see this much. Have fun with your last few shows.
Take advantage and enjoy this time that you have to be on stage together, because it will not last forever and you will look back on these performing days together with fond memories.
Sorry for the Long comment but I just had to say what was on my mind.
Should there be a limit on the amount of comment that is published, I have yet to see the vid b/c it can not be accessed here in Mrs. Cornwalls classroom. But I feel like I got plenty from katies Plethera of comments. Thanks for the effort on the vid and I will watch it soon.

Katie: I am happy to hear you thought you were actually at "Lights", but really it was 10 times better in person and with a full house. Plus, in person you would have gotten to see the 90 numbers with the little kids, ballet, tap, hip hop, etc.. etc.. times 2.
Robb: Sorry to hear of MB's classroom blockage. You can just be excited all day in anticipation.

I am late to pick up Mb, but I got carried away watching the video, I did not heed Dad corns advice in leaving ample time to watch it in its entirety. We are going out returning things STILL so I will be back, but I can see why katie made so many comments. Our girls sure can blow and shake those, you know what I am taking about. Work it Ladies. Are there any online courses for the hip hop section? let me know

ReplyDeleteOkay if anyone still actually cares, thank your liking my cute anita costume, "If just one person believes in you" You're a Good man Charlie Brown, Unfortunately your two little sisters were ambushed and stolen on Aug 4, Yes I was indeed rocking the hair the whole night in a side pony, Okay-I was in hip-hop too, but dad didn't know that, the glasses are the twin of your glasses, I am very excited for millie too!
