The "maine" part of the morning was spent in ournortheastern most state.
There are alot of fun shops. The shop we "mainly" enjoyed is "Yummies". What do you know - it has one of the biggest and best PEZ selections ever seen. (We bought 2. We are keeping them a surprize.)
One of our "maine" reasons for going north(other than just to experience being in the state)
was to have a seafood dinner/lunch. Wow! it was good!
We journied across the entire state of New Hampshire.The weather was "mainly" rain all day.
Eventually we reached Sharon, Vermont which is off no "maine" highway or road. It is in the middle of nowhere.
The "maine" thing that is left of Joseph Smith's birth homeis the door stone.
We were surrounded "mainly" by peace andquiet (and snow) at the mounment
put in place on the anniversary of the Prophet's
100th birthday in 1905.
We sang, "We Thank Thee O God For A Propeht"
as we drove down the lane
that took us to the road,
that took us to the street
that took us to the "maine" highway
that descended the full length of Vermont so we could spend the night in central Massachusetts.
Dad, that day sure was memorable especially Sharon VT. Thanks for driving us their in that beautiful wheather!!!! It was worth it in my book.

ReplyDeleteMy "main" complaint about the trip was that dad was doing his funny wordisms 24/7 and we were all there to hear them. Just kidding dad - I would have probably said them if I was that quick.
