We wanted to start a tradition of Waffles every Saturday morning, but we decided that we would have some form of hot breakfast, but mostly waffles. We have a picture to show you, that is coming, that Amy Openshaw (the lady we live with) bought us a double burner and Marybeth pouring the pancakes into the frying pan.

I got the chore of mixing it all up, along with the eggs. One of the reasons we had pancakes this morning instead of Waffles was b/c we looked for our waffle maker, and it was no where to be found. Marybeth said we have one somewhere.

Let's just that we have used the "Magic Bullet" several times. We have made shakes and all kinds of things. They are so handy b/c they the things you mix them in turn into mugs. Mb loves "Orange Dream" from Jamba Juice and she made it for me the other night. This morning she made something similar but added in banana.

Well the post would not be complete on the Cornwall blog without taking a picture of the food display. As you can see we have our smoothies, pancakes, eggs and oj. It was a great breakfast.

And here is the Very very very Happy married couple, enjoying our breakfast. I hope we get to post again very soon. We have plenty to blog we just do it when we have the chance.
That sounds like a great Saturday morning tradition!! The food sure looked yummy!! We are very jealous of the magic bullet!! Maybe one day we will invest in one! I'd be interested to hear what goes into an "orange dream". It's good to see you guys through the blog, post lots!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to see MB and RB play house - not really play but be doing it for real. And it looks real fun. Thanks for sharing. We love to know of your world and "comings and goings" and simple stay at hom'ings.
ReplyDeleteThank heavens the cord arrived in Duxbury so that the Robb Cornwalls can start posting!!! What a fun breakfast tradition. We have had the hot breakfast tradition off and on for the past 27 years. Now with some of us watching our weight we don't go for the full blown waffles every Saturday morning - but we have come up with one fun tradition since August. It is the third Sunday Big Breakfast - It is the one Sunday a month that dad is home on Sunday mornings and it only started since he was released as Bishop and it is tomorrow!!!! I am thinking of serving a quiche - that would use some of the cheese and bacon leftover from the wedding - but don't tell those who live at 336. We may just have to take a picture!! Keep your eyes glued for tomorrow morning. I may even do my hair before breakfast. I may plan on smoothies too!! (no magic bullet for us - I'll just have to use the blender)
ReplyDeleteThat sure looks like some great food. Your apartment is also very fun. Thank you for saving us from the blog drought. I am glad that the cord made it all the way back to MA.
ReplyDeleteThank you for making my checks of the blog worth it! It was so fun to see, and provided great relief that I would not have to blog Sarah and I practicing the piano or something.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you guys are able to put stuff on now. Rachel and I have been pretty busy but it is fun all the same.
ReplyDeleteRach-bach I am sitting here in Mrs. Cornwalls class room, reading the comments and I got a big chuckle out of your comment of practicing the piano, but what ever will get you to practice, even if it is for blogging purposes
