BYU is number 1 and I could not be happier, what a fun season it has been to be a cougar and cheer on the blue and white
This is a very very very downplayed celebration after the big victory today. add in a lot bigger smile, jumping about 2 feet off the ground and screaming as loud as possible. It was the best game I ever have seen, I have seen a lot of really good/close games, however unfortunately all of those ended in loses. What a game
I was not the only one that was happy for the W. Bronco seemed a little less stern and a little more relaxed.
This is the man of the hour, he is and will be my favorite player for a very long time I am sure, I am so happy for him and that he was able to win the "big" "come from behind" win to prove to everyone that he is one of the BYU greats.
Now if you missed the game this was the "play of the day" this is Jonny Harline catching the game winning TD pass from John Beck that he threw across his body and across almost the entire field. It was so fun, I never want to experience it again but I loved it b/c of the out come.
Sorry I missed the WHOLE thing!!!! It sounded so good. Glad that BYU pulled the trigger and got a win - that has usually not been their tradition (except for one holiday bowl that dad and I went to and left before the big ending).
ReplyDeleteDallin and I are also very excited about the win. I think I woke up all the babies in our neighboring apartments because I screamed so loud. I still can't believe they pulled it off but I knew our hiking the Y on Wednesday was the key for their victory.
ReplyDeleteI want to direct your attention to the BYU homepage, there is a really cool slideshow of the game with the radio commentary with pictures to follow it. Old Greg Rubell (however you spell his name) yelled so loud screaming TOUCHDOWN, TOUCHDOWN, It gave my goosebumps, you should watch it again
ReplyDeleteYes, I heard ole' Greg Rubell (however you spell it) live on KSL streaming web. It was quite a scream. (Note: There is a girl screaming in the background too, if you listen close. On the post came Greg was interviewing Bronco and mentioned that Mrs. Bronco was in the booth with them. I wonder it that was her screaming?)
ReplyDeleteRobb and I were on the phone after all the big plays that went for BYU from the very first touchdown. The TV feed in Utah must have been about 5-10 seconds ahead of the web streaming so as I was listening to the play unfold, if the phone would ring I knew that it was a big play for BYU. It was pretty fun. Thanks Robb for sharing. What a game finish. The announcers said it was the only game in NCAA dividios 1 football since about 2001 that the game winning play was the last play of the game.
I will be honest I just watched it again and I got goosebumps. What a play.
ReplyDeleteRob,
ReplyDeleteGreat Photos!! Katie and I saw some highlights from several other games around the country. All of the fields looked terrible. In other words, they paled in comparison to BYU. Utah's looked pretty good but that is only because it is turf.
