As dad and I were driving back from having In N Out with Stefanie we saw this large plume of smoke in the distance. As we got closer and closer to Pasadena, and then to Monrovia we realized that it is right in our back yard. This is the "Fish Fire" in the hills above Duarte. With temperatures of 112, low humidity and some wind, it was perfect circumstances for fire. We are in the mandatory evacuation area (East of Myrtle, North of Greystone) if the wind shifts and it heads our way. It is usually North of Hillcrest. Haven't done any packing though. It is pretty smoky this morning. We are praying for our great fire fighters and for the safety of all our friends and neighbors.

Now it's hard to tell around 336 if the smoke is from Mom burning rubber to get everything done on her list preping for NFR or blowing in from the hills above Duarte.
