Young Women's Camp (a.k.a. Girls Camp) 2015

Dad had the opportunity to attend YW Camp for a few days last week.  Dad has attended most every Camp for the past 20 odd years, as the H.C. Advisor over YW for 4 years, as a Bishop for 7 years and for the past 9 years as the member of the Stake Presidency over YW/YM.  It has been a nice run started when the "little" girls were actually little.  In those early years, camp always seemed to come on the week Mom was at the CES/Seminary Conference in Provo (back in the days when they had such a thing). So, Dad got permission to take Sarah and Rachel to Girls Camp with him.  Katie was nice and often let her little sisters bunk in her room.  Sarah probably attended camp for about 10 years in a row - a tenth year'er, if they have such a thing.

This year Mom went up with Dad Thursday evening.  It was a fun year, as always, with wonder leaders, superb YCLs and spectacularly sweet, good young women and great activities.  This year included human fuze-ball and canoeing on Silverwood Lake along with archery, good food, Frisbee golf, certification classes, silly skits and sing-a-longs, a night hike, personal scripture reading in the woods first thing every morning, singing rocks every evening, smokey gatherings at the campfire and a closing, very inspirational testimony meeting.
