Wendy has grown up so much this past month. She is the sweetest little lady. Heavenly Father has blessed us with an amazing little girl who is a light and joy in our lives. She makes us so happy and reminds us of what is truly important. She continues to teach us how to love. She teaches us patience, the importance of being present in the moment. She helps us realize that life really isn't as complicated as we sometimes make it out to be. She brings us closer to Christ and our Father in Heaven with her innocence and sweet disposition. She teaches us selflessness and the importance of serving others. She fills our hearts to the brim and makes us want to love without end.
Our sweet Wendy's smile continues to grow bigger and bigger. Her grin spreads from cheek to cheek, her nose crinkles and her eyes become squinty. It is the sweetest, most heart melting thing to see her gummy grin. She does have two teeth coming in on the bottom which are just waiting to come through.
As Jeff's father so eloquently put it, "Wendy sings more than she talks". She has become quite the little babbler, having discovered how to say "ba ba ba" and "da da da". We love her baby talk and are still enjoying her sweet coos and ah's. She really does have the sweetest little voice.
She is now a very capable sitter and loves being able to sit on her own. It really does make her seem big to see her sitting by herself playing with toys. I am often surprised at her ability to reach and grab toys that are seemingly out of grasp. She doesn't seem to be too interested in crawling at this point as she doesn't like to spend time on her tummy. Whenever we put her on the floor for tummy time she starts trying to roll over before we've even set her down. All in good time. She has rolled over from her tummy to her back, but seems content with her limited mobility for now.
Her hands continue to be a source of fascination. She has started clasping her hands which is pretty darn cute. I mean, everything she does is cute but this is just especially so. Her finger dexterity is improving and she has discovered how to twist her wrist to look at toys from different angles.
She has discovered that she can shake her head side to side as well as up and down, which is just the funniest thing! She has also become quite the bouncer during the past couple weeks. No matter where she is...she will try to bounce up and down. The bouncing and head shaking combined makes for a pretty entertaining combination.
She is quite the little bookworm and has mastered the art of turning pages in whatever book we are reading. I love watching her examine each page, just taking in everything she can about the words and illustrations. She gets so excited when we read and often babbles at the book while patting the pages. I'm glad she enjoys it so much, because reading together is one of the greatest parts of being a parent.
She still gets quite hyper most nights right before bath and bedtime which is the most entertaining part of the night. That is where her big belly laughs fill our little home with such happiness. Her eyes light up and she squirms and squeals with delight. Everyday is really a blessing and we are so grateful for every moment we've had with this sweet soul.

Oh, Jeff and Reesa, you are certainly blessed with a special, sweet, cute, smiley, happy, wonderful baby. It is so nice that you enjoy her so much. It is so nice you are letting her teach you so much.
