Eaton Canyon

A trip to sunny California in the winter calls for an outdoor adventure. Our chosen activity was a hike up Eaton Canyon near Monrovia. It was a blustery day and we caught the perfect window to hike out and back before the rains came. The path started off as a dirt road meandering through the canyon. After walking a ways, we came to the trail that led to the end destination: a magnificent waterfall. The 1/2 mile leading up to the falls took us over some rocky terrain, including several creek crossings that required some boulder hopping. Our hearty group managed very well and we made it to the waterfall in good time. It was the perfect early afternoon outing.

  1. Oh that was fine activity for a So. Cal. Christmas holiday. That Wendy loves to be on outdoor adventures. It was really nice for all of the group to be together.
