Sarah's Coming Home - 12 November, Wednesday
The literal appropriateness of the title of Sarah's missionary blog - A Voice From the Vineyard will be on display with today's post. Mom, Dad and Sarah saddled up (so to speak) and left our Livery Stable room in Willits to drive the 2 1/2 hours south to Oakland. Rather than take Hwy. 101, the scenic drive was taken through the rolling Napa Valley.
The Golden Gate bridge was seen out to the west as the bay was crossed onto the Oakland side.
The Oakland Temple grounds were in exquisite beauty. The 50 year anniversary of the dedication of the temple was scheduled for the coming weekend.
That evening the destination was Woodland, Sarah's first area. Dinner was at Presidente Perez's. The Perez's graciously host all the Spanish missionaries servicing in his branch every week. And they graciously hosted the Cornwalls with a Mexican dinner.
After the Perez's a visit was paid to the wonderful Branch Mission Leader's home.

Napa in the fall - I had no idea we were in for such a treat!!! Loved the Davis Ward folks.
ReplyDeleteThe Oakland Temple is pretty great. I'm glad we made a stop there on our infamous trip to the Bay Area. Dad those shots of Napa Valley are georgeous.
