Surfin' USA

Oh it was a fun day celebrating the 4th of July here in Provo, UT.  The Tirrells joined in the festivities and were our first guests in our new apartment. Jeff and I enjoyed being the hosts in our new place and it was nice having some company to celebrate the holiday.  We had a "barbecue" complete with turkey burgers, corn on the cob, watermelon, and some VERY patriotic pie. After dinner, we walked over to the Lavell Edwards Stadium for the big show, Stadium of Fire, to see our (second) favorite Californians, The Beach Boys. It was an elaborate showcase of singing, dancing and celebrating our freedoms. The highlight of course, and the reason we attended, was the performance of the Beach Boys as part of their 50th Anniversary tour. It was great to see the gang on stage together and Jeff was LOVING Brian Wilson. The fireworks display was the perfect end to a great show. It was a most wonderful 4th of July!

  2. OBTW - it looks like the table and chairs came in really handy right in the nick of time for those Tirrels.

  3. Looks like the Jeff Cornwalls are very settled in. Nothing like some visitors to help get things ship shape. Reesa - thanks for such a lovely post. Have fun with the Tirrells.
