Jeff and I decided to start celebrating Pioneer Day here in Utah with an early morning hike up to Squaw Peak. It was a most gorgeous view overlooking the valley with its blue skies. We were even the only ones up at the top. Continuing with the festivities, we made a couple of meat pies for dinner and a strawberry pie for dessert. Our evening Pie-oneer Day festivities included having a few friends over to eat the pies and try out the new slackline Jeff and I recently purchased. (It's kind of like tight-rope walking, but on a thicker strap.) It was a fun day celebrating.
Beautiful little hike you two took. That is quite a view from nearly 8,000 ft. (common knowledge) Nice looking pies from the Utah Cornwall contingent.
