After three days off of seminary we wound our way through large chunks of tree on West Lemon to get to the building. Only the North side of the building had power or heat (the church is on two circuits) but we made due in the Cultural Hall and in the Chapel. Dad went down early to make sure we had a warm building and did some cleaning up of the patio area.

It was quite a project to clear the road.
Look what they found under that big tree!!
I guess having your power off for a couple of days was really not a big deal. Dad and I are counting our blessings.
I also went down and took pictures of the site. As I was taking pictures, Patti Stevenson drove by sporting a big smile. I'm sure she was glad to get back their power.
ReplyDeleteMonrovia looks a little blanker and a little "lighter" these days - I think it's the missing trees!!
