A LATE (Final) GOODBYE

For 22 years a white, wood paneled Pontiac 6000 LE Safari wagon has driven up and down Ivy Ave. On a thousand trips from hospitals with new babies,to across the country, from camping trips to high school transport it has served those at 336 through rain and shine, side swipes and oil leaks (with a little/lot of TLC from Dad). As I took this video I really did get a lump in my throat with all the great memories with that car. On Wednesday the shaggin' wagon made it's final trip down Ivy Ave. and we bid it a final Late Goodbye.
The parting shot.

  1. Oh shoot, my heart's kind of broken. Not only did I get a lump, but my eyes got a little moist. Alas, the nostalgia.

I feel like the shag and me always had a special birthday connection, which is now severed.

  2. Oh the wagon. You could do no wrong in that car. It was the best so long my friends. Now he will live on in others after it has survived for so long.

Thanks dad for all of your work done on that car. It was greatly appreciated.
