Saturday's class went really well. We did Assemblage art which is essentially when you "assemble" found objects (things you didn't necessarily make) and combine them to create a piece of art. Here is an example of a professional assemblage artist:

Robert Rauschenberg, Canyon, 1959.
81"x 70"x 24"
(That is a real taxidermy bird covered in tar and a real sandbag)
Here are their materials.
Foam!
Older Class, in progress
Younger Class: One girl (my prodigy)
4' x 2'
Older Class: 4 kids
6' x 4'
Looks like a fun form of art. Those are a bunch of cool assemblage elements. Your student did a good job Jefferson.
ReplyDeleteJeffrey - you are an amazing teacher and a gifted artist. Thank you for sharing - I love to see what you are doing with your Saturday class.
ReplyDeleteJeffers, that is so cool. Does Thanksgiving Point put them on display?
