Sarah and Dad worked parking and then went in to the SEMI-FINAL game between the Monrovia Wildcats and the Whittier Christian Heralds. It was a tough game. In the first 3 possessions the score was Whittier 10 - Monrovia 0 and Monrovia had only run 2 plays. At half time it was Monrovia 14 - Whittier 10.We sat with the Monrovia regulars, (Hoops, Stevenson, Bird, Bourgeous, Menlove, Gray...) This pic is at the end of the game. The final score is on the scoreboard in the background. They'll be a front sports page article we'll post later with all the details.
Demolition on the old football field and stands is reported to be starting next week. The Finals will be played, probably, at Citrus. We spent a lot of time in those old stands feeling and sharing the emotional sensations of many seasons. It was fun that the last who-rah was a big win for the 'Cats.
