My last photo assignment was a portrait. Some of you are aware that I did a photo shoot of grandpa. It went well, but I really wanted to experiment with indoor studio lighting. Life is crazy this time of year so I was just going to turn in grandpa's shoot, but I got determined and took the ambitious task of setting up a studio in my kitchen. With the grand help of Dad-io I got all the lighting equipment. I bought a white backdrop from DI. Then with aluminum foil and blankets, I blacked out the kitchen. I also had a hard time deciding who to shoot. I chose Brett and Kelsy, a recently engaged couple in my ward both whom I've known for a while. I was Brett's Home Teacher. Anyways, here are the best shots. Enjoy!

Good job Jeffrey on this portraiture photo project and your first job out of the Jeff Cornwall Studio. Hmmmm... only one photo to submit. That's a tuffee. I like the top one, the one you said was your top pick. Somehow tho' the large space above the subjects creates a balance issue that is not to my taste. I like the fourth from the bottom - the one where the girl is out of focus. I think that shows camera technique and more dynamic lighting than the rest.
ReplyDeleteI like third from the top - maybe it is just a traditional pose. Nice work Jeffrey.
