TIE-DYE ANYONE?
I have never done "Tie-Dye" before. For FHE we were to bring something to tie-dye. We weren't super excited about it but thought it would be fun. There are like 10 different ways to "TIE" your shirts

(I just found out why it is called "tie-dye" Yes I am willing to be me clean rep on the line, as of late, to admit that I had another U-HAUL moment. The funny thing was Mb and I weren't sure of the correct spelling. We looked it up. Knowing the meaning helps with the spelling, after the fact).

Marybeth and I are way too good for any of those methods, so we do our own "better" method. So what method do we choose? We decide to twist it like you are wringing a wet towel or article of clothing. Then we wrap it around itself into a ball. We are soooo excited. The more we do the better and more fun it becomes. Marybeth was the brave one to get us started. She was so graceful and "artist-like." I was thinking the whole time they are going to have to call this "new method" The RbandMb Twist. It is going to be famous throught the world. We move onto the next color and start going crazy. Then Marybeth wondered away to chat. So I thought that I would get in on the action. I grab a third color, and the other couples are like, are you sure you should do that without permission? I was like OH YEAH. I thought my touches were making it look Out of This World. RbandMb Twist here we come. Everyone said that ours looked pretty good and that they would be excited to see it. Well..........
Here it is........ Not really what we were expecting. I was expecting a little more color and a lot less WHITE. I don't think any Tie-Dye companies will be calling in the near future. So we didn't do that great. We see now, why they have you "TIE" them certain ways, maybe we should listen to them next. Besides the fact that it is a XXL free shirt, I am sure that that had nothing to do with it. It was fun, but we will try a new method next time.

  1. What are you talin' about? I think the RBandMB Twist turned out a totally fresh and fun new look. Abstract, yet controlled. Colorful splashes yet not overpowering. Creative and not run of the mill. I like it.

  2. I loved the shirt - but I especially loved the descriptive story that went along with it. I wonder how many more u-haul experiences there are for all of us out there. Thanks for a great post.
