We decided last night, it was time. Time to take matters into our own hands, and cook!

I was really . . . really excited. Oh how I have missed the stocked kitchen of 336. We all went to the Wyview creamery and split up the load of green and red peppers, and onion, two cans of black beans, a pack of tortillas, two boxes of rice, grapes, carrots, and salsa.

In the Stover basement, we sauteed the vegetables, heated the tortillas in the stove, sprinkled some cheese on black beans, made the rice, and swiped for drinks at the vending machine.

It was a feast.

We were all rather happy with the results! Afterwards we went to see a comedy troupe-"Divine Comedy," and laughed rather hard. Plus, we witnessed a proposal on stage during halftime.

Afterwards we walked to downtown Provo and stopped into the Muse Music and Cafe {I didn't take this picture.} But I enjoyed a cup of heaven when I ordered a belgian dark chocolate cup of cocoa with a splash of French vanilla. wow. I am still dreaming of going back!
Rachel what a perfect meal!!! It looks very yummy. How many people did you feed and how many of them were boys? I don't know if this is just me but your cute friend Lauren looks a lot like Keri Russell. Let's go to that cafe when we are in Utah!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, Yes, and YES!!! There were five of us total-2 boys, 3 girls. And Lauren is the cutest. And I would gladly, oh-so-gladly go again!
ReplyDeleteI bet you loved sauteing a few vegetables!!! Looks like a lot of fun, but as for that cocoa - make mine milk chocolate!!! I know I am no chocolate snob.
ReplyDeleteI am glad to hear that you miss something here at 336... even if it is just the pantry. We certainly miss you and your culinary influence.
