MOM'S BIRTHDAY - A PEEK

The "parade" wasn't until about 4:30 pm... after seminary, court, school, work and play rehearsal. Then Dad and Mom went to a "magical place" (those are Mom's words). See video.

  1. Thank you for all the cards, gifts and sentiments. I was treated royally - especially by Sarah and Dad. Sarah gave me chocolates, Halloween handled spreaders and a grilling cookbook (on top of all the seminary celebration and gifts). If you click on the picture you can see that dad went overboard (as usual!!!) The marble table that he got at our own Patty's Antiques is gorgeous. It finishes off the parlor perfectly. I got new clothes, new shoes, a camera case, a new planner (yes folks my old one is 18 years old and is really showing the wear of "This Week is Going to be a Big Week!!!") The other very very big ticket item is a NEW PHONE!!! I told dad I really wanted to use the brick for the next dozen years so that I could brag that I have used the same phone, but I'm sure I'll adapt. Along with the phone comes a case and blue tooth (an essential if you live in California!) The evening was indeed magical - I will be taking you all to this special place the next time you are in town. Great food, great scenery, great company - last night and all day through calls and visits. THANKS FOR A GREAT DAY!!!!

  2. p.s. Thanks kids and grandkids for all connecting with Mom yesterday. That was THE best part of her day.

p.p.s. The trolley car really did have Frank Sinatra music playing on the music system. That's what gave me the idea for the sound track.

  5. I was hoping those fountains were coming from the ground...that would be fun to run through. It seems like a very romantic and magical place! You deserve it!
