As many of you are aware I had to do another fun project for my class this one being instructed to make something usable out of something disposable. I really wanted to make a piece of furniture and with some brainstorming with Dad decided to do a chaise lounge. It is made out of very thick tubing that I got at different places, work and Provo Daily Herald. It is connect with a single piece of rope and a few bolts. Also thanks to Dave and Katherine Cornwall for letting me use their saw. I couldn't have done it without them. Enjoy!
In the works.
It is pretty comfy. I might put some sort of padding on it though.
WAY COOL Jeffers!!!! That looks like it took some careful planning and hard work. I am very impressed. Do you have to take it to class or turn it in? (Sorry to post right about you.)
ReplyDeleteThat looks fantastic. Way to go!!
ReplyDeleteLooks magnifico Jefferson. You engineered it very well. And it's nice to see that it works. An idea for padding... to keep with the disposable theme... would be packaging foam sheets. They are like thin, flexible styrofoam. Or you could even try bubblewrap.
ReplyDeleteThe actual product looks just like the sketch. It is fun to see both. I will have to try it out some time and we might want one chair for our new place if you are looking for a home. Good job
