SEE YOU TOMORROW!!!!!!
It was the type of game you write in your journal. Emotions were high, there was a constant drizzle that added to the moment. Halftime ended 0-0. We knew we would be in a close game. Defense was amazing, both Jeff and Marybeth. We were down a person the whole game, two of our girls didn't come, but that didn't stop our intensity. We scored 2 goals in the second half thanks to Thomas with an assist by Robbie. However the play of the game goes to Marybeth. there was less than a minute to go and they were driving down field, I was on defense and I stepped up on the player and he sent it past me. They played all girls up so one girl goal and it is tie game. However Marybeth gets it and clears it out, and the clock later runs out. It was a great game and we play another one tomorrow at 6pm w/o thomas who is going to CA. Hopefully we can win without him. It was a great game.
Sorry RB and MB to bump you. I have been waiting all day to post these but didn't want to bump Rachel's special post (not to say winning the soccer game isn't special.)

ReplyDeleteDon't forget the second goal off the throw-in that I did! Robbie was amazing this game. He was everywhere, getting to the ball first and working those foolios. I can't wait til tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteGreat job GOALS R US!!!! Oh... now I know why you called me in the middle of Stake Presidency Meeting. Ohhhh... I wish I had taken the call. Yet the play by play on the post left me feeling the intensity of the game. Why to go Cornwalls (and Cornwall cousin(s).
