My Tidy Little Girl

Elizabeth is walking constantly. She has learned how to stand up on her own without help from the wall or mom and dad. She can't open the cupboards so we haven't had to change anything in our apartment.
Last Sunday I made invitations for the Ward Primary Activity. After Sacrament meeting Elizabeth and I went to the Primary room to set up and she was walking around the room carrying my zip lock bag of invitations. When it was time to hand out the invitations they could not be found. The primary presidency was looking for them and they got Dallin out of YM's to see if he had them. No luck. I had a little inspiration and found them buried in the trash can. Elizabeth was just helping clean up.
A few days latter Elizabeth's sippy cup was almost out of milk so I let her walk around the apartment drinking it. ( I usually supervise her very closely when she drinks milk because it always seems like she gets more on the floor then in her mouth.) A few hours later I was looking for the sippy cup and couldn't find it. I looked in both bathrooms and both bedrooms. I looked on the kitchen floor and cupboards. I looked under the table and under the couch. I looked in her basket of toys. The sippy cup was nowhere to be found. About an hour later I found it. She was done with her milk and knew just what to do with her finished sippy cup.

  1. That all sounds so fun. Soon you may be able to start giving Elizabeth a chore list on Saturday mornings of things she has to do before going out to play.

  2. As a toddler, Phoebe always put everything in the trash. We never emptied the trash without checking it first!!

And she's a pretty tidy girl now!!

  3. Hope she keeps it up until she is a teenager.
