I don't mean to post all of these "questionable" posts, but it is this, or pictures of me studying for class. For those of you that didn't know, I had a sebaceous cyst in my ear for a long time. It has grown gradually for ever. I finally decided to get rid of it. I had a check up today, and didn't expect to go under the knife, but he asked if we had time today, and we didn't want to have to pay a copay. But this is the finished product. I told the doctor I didn't want to ruin my stitches streak. It had a hard time coming out, and I will leave out the rest of the details.

For those that don't strong stomachs or don't like blood, don't click on the one with green. It is right after surgery and I am not "cleaned" up. but for those that want to see it it is there for you.

  1. These were done with my camera phone....so they aren't that great but hey it captured the moment. Robbie was so tough. There were times when I knew it hurt and he didn't say a thing. I kept saying, " Robb are you ok?" He kept saying he was fine. Afterwards I said I know that hurt and he agreed. What a tough cookie...I would have screamed and said get those tools off of me! That cyst was not coming out. And he bled A LOT!! I told him not to get up too fast because I was afraid he would pass out from loss of blood. I have to admit, it was nice to be on the other side and out of the doctors reach, I could just sit back and relax.....kindof. Because usually it is the other way around.

  2. No need to apologize for the post. It fits the blog... a cyst COMING out and your blood GOING all over the place.

I hope that Doctor has good bloody shirt insurance. Obviously you bled a lot more than the knife wielding doc had intended, or he is a bit of a slob (hopefully only on the outside!) But reeeallly... it looks good all stitched up. We are glad your sweet Marybeth was there to watch over and administer any needed comfort.

  3. Way to be brave Robb! I would have been crying like a baby. I'm sure it is good to have that out of your ear!

  4. So happy things went well!! You are one tough cookie Robb (and Marybeth for watching, sometimes that can be worse than being the patient). I'm hoping that you can run tomorrow.

  5. Robbie I have to say when I first saw the top picture I thought you got your ear pierced. I am glad that everything went well and that it heals quickly. So did you get officially get stitches?
