"I hadn't been on a school bus in long time, nor had I spent several hours with high school freshman, and I certainly hadn't developed resolutions to address multi-national terrorism, but I did today. Sarah and I had the opportunity to attend the model United Nations conference with Sarah's pre-AP freshman geography class.
The USC campus looked absolutely lovely, and Sarah and I took a few pleasant strolls (which is actually where most of our steps came from) feeling very nationalistic. We were "honorable delegates" from Ghana, and we did some fantastic debating that, although not formally recognized, was definitely noteworthy.
The world is so much bigger than our own personal issues, and I always love an opportunity to open our eyes to the world's possibilities."
Sarah and Rachel, That seems like a really cool opportunity. As I read your post, I was sure grateful to live in a country that provides so much opportunity and comfort. I also thought about where much is given much is required. Do you have any suggestions of things we could do to help countries that are less fortunate?
