Today was the Missionary Day!!

That's right ladies and gentlemen, there is now another member of our family that has worn "the badge:" it was missionary for a day.
I had a great day, no baptisms or overt miracles, but you know what, that's not what this gospel is about. I was in the Spanish branch of the Pasadena stake, so I got to show off a bit of my espanol. The sisters we were with were so very sweet. It opened my eyes to the reality of missionary work, and I loved it!
If anyone is going to ask how this affected my future, quite frankly, I couldn't really tell you. What'll happen will happen, but it certainly did shift my feelings affirmatively. It was such a great day!

  1. It was very grand to have ANOTHER missionary Cornwall. We are so glad Rachel participated. One of the benefits of my Stake Pres. assignment of the Young Men/Young Women is to go and "preside" at their many activities. This includes enjoying the breakfasts, dinners and desserts, etc... Most wonderful is to associate with the great youth of Arcadia Stake, to witness their valience and hear and feel their testimonies. Oh, Youth of the Noble Birthright, Carry On!

  2. Rachel-

Whether or not you serve a mission, I am sure you will be a great missionary. Any MTC teacher would be so thrilled to have you in there class. You would be an amazing force for good. The only drawback would be how distracting you would be to all of the Elders. You are currently several hundred miles away and some Elders (We won't say any names or even say that the name of one of the Elders names rhymes with Shmorrel)may already be distracted. I can only imagine what will happen as you get older.

P.S. Rachel you thought your posts were long
