Spooky fun things are starting to pop up around the old mansion on Ivy Ave. The Black Cat (front and center) is new to the collection, as of Mom's birthday. This is a link to a cool animation that works really neat as a desktop background. http://www.webweaver.nu/clipart/halloween/haunted-houses.shtml
Go to the link. Right click on upper left picture "Animated haunted house with lightning" . Then click "Save Image As...". (For the rest of the directions see Comment 7). Your screen is suddenly haunted.
Have a gooood evennning and if you don't have a gooood evennning have a goulish evennning.
All these years you thought it was mom that liked Halloween so much. I think it is YOUR DAD!!!
ReplyDeleteLook closely at the pez display - I didn't notice the great backdrop the first day, and if you look closely (upper right corner) dad got some cobwebs from the front room (didn't need to look very far) to enhance the look.
ReplyDeleteDad, WOW!!! That is so cool. I think Dallin and I will need to make a trip to California to see it!! I love how everything you do is to the max with the backdrop. I did notice it right away along with the cat pez in front. We love Halloween!!
ReplyDeleteDad I think that you have definitely earned a Rite of Pez-age into the Halloween decorating hall of fame.
ReplyDeleteWhat's really spooky is when you turn the lights out. Many are glow in the dark - 5 characters on the front row are, 4 on the right of the second row, 1 skull and 1 witch on the back row.
ReplyDeleteBooeeeeaawwaawwaawwwwhhh!!!!
I hate to corrent Mom, but the cobweb is in the upper LEFT corner, in front of the yellow moon.
I need to correct my "correCt mom".
ReplyDeleteI have changed the directions of how to get a haunted desktop background from the link in the post a couple of times. Actually the route I gave the first time is apparently the only way it will work. That is to right click the animation and then click "SAVE IMAGE AS...". Save it in My Pictures or My Videos. Then go into Control Panel / Apperance & Themes / Change Desktop Background / Browse for the file you just made with the animation. Apply it. This should work. Let me know.
ReplyDeleteSo now I have re-re-edited the post to the above directions.
I had "issues" with the haunted background working properly, so I counciled with dad corn, for free during "peak hours," and got it to work and it is so fun to have lighting going on, on my desktop. Fun post, fun dad, fun times, dun halloween, and fun to talk for free to verizon customers. Happy Halloween.
ReplyDeleteP.S. as usual great display!!!
Jason - you are punning like a Terrill or a Dequer - or at Clifton like Mr. Duisberg.
ReplyDeleteWatch out - it's habit-forming!!
