FOR ALL YOU HALLOWEEN COSTUMERS
One of the great blessing of being an MDT major is taking the make-up class. In class we just learned to do fake noses, cuts, burns, blisters, and bruises. These are pictures of my final product. Some people in my class went all out and gave themselves a black eye and scars all over their face. I chose to be a little more simple.
SO, if you are working on your Halloween costume and need some advice on make-up tircks you now know who to contact.

Whoa, Katie, it is nice to have someone take over for the make-up special effects in the family. Now, if they will just teach you how to do cat and bear face make-up.
ReplyDeleteIt is funny, I always look at the pictures first and the text that goes with the picture second. I did read the title, and I really thought that the first picture was some sort of Watermelon costume, I couldn't figure out where the eyes would be, but it was a fun post, too bad you know them your kids could never pull that one on you
ReplyDeleteJason and I both gasped at the thought that the wounds were real until we realized it was your tricky makeup. You have quite a talent there! Jason says thank you for the makeup tips we've already used this Halloween season.

I hear there is a good/ cool lion costume lying around some where that is always the king of the jungle kind of outfit. Or you could grab a wig and put on some funky clothes (oh wait you do that everyday...j/k) and change your costume name everytime someone asks. Or you could be a cool high school student. I loved that one. all I have to say is Cornwalls have done really well in past years every single one to be exact, so make sure it is good, Don't let us down. We work really hard for those awards.

ReplyDeleteDoes your new make-up skill have anything to do with what Katie and Dallin are going to be this Halloween. We haven't heard one word about what the Andersons are dressing up as - you are dressing up aren't you Dallin - I think that was part of the marriage arrangement!!!
