Monrovia Ward filled a section of the stands - in this photo as far (almost) as the eye can see. (For you techies, this is my first "stiched" photo, where I take two photos taken side by side and connect them for a panorama. Ha - next time I'll try a 360 of the whole stadium.)
We were very sad to miss the game but it probably came on TV here. There is always american baseball on tv. Jason finished all his work today so now we have a bunch of free time to explore till we leave saturday. Last night we found a "department store" which is kind of like a mall but all in one very tall building and it is all 1 store. We bought a couple things and we are soon leaving to go to another department store in a different city. We miss you all lots and can't wait to tell you all about the trip.
ReplyDeleteMan I haven't been to a Dodger game or any pro Basball game in a long time. That seems like a very fun tradition. Quick question......Is that an idea of the Bishop or is it activities or from Dodger Stadium itself. Whoever organized it or had the idea it looked like a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteThe Bishop did bring this up - we did it last year - I think Rick Bird organized it last year - but it was really really fun.
ReplyDeleteTo answer Rpbb: The Activities Committee Chair(Little Harry) ran with the idea. The Activities Committee grilled the hot dogs, made the lemonade, etc.... I think Rick got the peanuts and waters. Michael Miramontes bought out Smart & Final of Cracker Jack. It was great when we ended up getting 160 tickets and I don't think we pushed it that hard. The activity was a blast! Dodger stadium does accomodate groups. If you have over 100, I think the $8 Pavillion/outfield tickets are only $4. The group gets their name of the scoreboard. Every game we have gone to there seems to be a half dozen or so groups displayed. In fact that night there was another LDS Ward mentioned too.
