FANTASTIC COSTUMES - And Where to Find Them

We decided to place our characters in context with our photos this year since almost no one really knows who we are:  Newton Artemas Fido (Newt) Scamander & Porpentina Esther (Tina) Goldstein.  Ah... the risk of being so far ahead of one's time. (Oh, but so worth it.  And one does not need to worry about others showing up at the Halloween Party wearing the same costume.) If the photos still don't help too much there are some links at the bottom (or just wait for two weeks).

  2. Man, you guys are hip! Dressing up as a movie that hasn't even come out yet? My first question is where did you get those coats? They are totally perfect, especially Dad's it's like the same exact coat! I'm also loving Mom's hat. Too cute. And of course the third great character is the photoshopped scenery. I wasn't too sure about seeing this movie before with the previous actors, but starring Kent and Sue Cornwall? I'm totally there.

  4. To answer the coat question? - Thrift Store + Rit. The waistcoat? - Clever in-house seamstress. Wands? - 336 craftsman.

  5. We missed the ward party because we were in Portland - and I asked my kids "What were the Cornwalls?" And they said, "They had old clothes on but I don't know who they were supposed to be?" I will have to fill them in! Sorry we missed it!

Man you two are fun and so hip! I have to say I was really proud when I read the title of the blog post and knew exactly what was coming (I can thank Jeff for showing me the trailer).
