Sailing the High Seas

Dad was sorting pictures last night and said that I have missed a bunch of opportunities to post.  Hey - everyone likes to look at posts, even if they are old.  Let's start with a big event - MY FIRST CRUISE!!   My mom casually mentioned a few months ago that she would like to go on a cruise.  Well, you don't just mention that kind of stuff  round my super star sister, because bam - it is booked.  She called me when I was in Utah for Caleb's blessing and asked  if I wanted to go.  I said sure, when are you booking it, and she said RIGHT NOW!!!  She was our event planner extraordinaire.  We boarded the Carnival Inspiration and went on a three-day cruise to Mexico and boy did we have fun.

We shared a suite and it was sweet  We were good roommates.  My mom was as fun as ever.  Oh boy was this a great cruise for people watching.  We got plenty of that in, along with laughing a lot, eating a lot, talking a lot and watching shows.

We had one stop in Ensenada Mexico.  We took the shuttle bus into town and enjoyed walking around the town.  We sure could have used Sarah for the morning.

BYU GEAR???? Must be a lot of cougar cruisers.

We headed back to the ship ahead of the crowds which ended up being the smartest thing in the world.  We had the ship to ourselves and spent a lot of time at the back of the boat at the serenity retreat for adults only.  We got in the hot tub and enjoyed lounging around looking at the beautiful view.  Thanks to my fun mom for providing such a memorable trip.  Love you two girls so much.

  1. I'll bet you girls fit right in with all the bachelorette parties on board, etc... Glad you got your sea legs for future sea faring adventures.
