Aventure Douce à Long Beach

With Sarah leaving tomorrow to return to college, alas, the sun is setting on Mom and Dad's party times.  Accordingly, the threesome set off this morning for one last glimmer of fun in the sun.  The intended activity was to visit a farmers market in old town Long Beach. Arrival at the published coordinates this a.m. revealed a blank block and a solitary sidewalk sweeper.  Upon inquiry, the grey mustached old broomer informed the visitors that some time ago the farmers market had been moved to a completely different part of town AND, on top of that, it had been shifted to Fridays.

By serendipitous chance at the very corner on which the travelers' GPS had been set was Creme de la Crepe an award winning restaurant and creperie. . . a fine and delicious destination in an of itself.  After breakfast came a walk along the harbor with the Queen Mary and cruise ship docks across the bay.
