Swiss Days

Wanting to make the most of the long Labor Day weekend, Jeff and I spent Friday evening at the Swiss Days Festival in Midway, Utah. After a short drive up Provo Canyon we arrived at this event with many, many vendors selling homemade clothing, jewelry, art and other goods. Knowing this was a very large festival, we decided to avoid traffic by parking a good distance away and riding our bikes into the main square. Squeezing in a casual ride was a good choice both for enjoyment and convenience sake. Upon arriving at the main square we were surrounded by live music, an array of Swiss foods for purchase and a lively atmosphere. We spent a good portion of our time browsing the different booths and admiring some of the handmade items. When it came time to decide on dinner we went with Swiss Tacos. They were quite similar to Navajo tacos, and were deliciously filling. We enjoyed our meal with the company of live entertainment on the main stage. Wendy loved taking in her surroundings and was wide awake and happy for the duration of our trip. It was a fun little family outing.

Wendy has taken to grabbing anything she can now that she has discovered her hands. She was loving  reaching up for Jeff's face.

We were really hoping to find some novel hats that were unique to Swiss Days, maybe some long blonde braids with flower wreaths or something. We found these ones instead and figured they would do.
