We just have a few pictures from our comings and goings yesterday in Columbus. It was a gorgeous day and probably our last free day before the house takes up all our time. So of course, I begged spencer to let me get a slushy . . . which he kindly allowed.
And of course, another project for the house; on one of our many antique-shopping trips, we spotted this sturdy looking table. The only problem was that it had been made for a catholic pre-school and was about 5 inches too short. Since then we have sanded it down and made little legs for it (with a LOT of help from Spencer's brother, Joe) and it almost ready to move into our little house.
The table is gorgeous!!! I always love to see some of my favorite Twelmeyers. So excited for your big week this week.
ReplyDeleteThe photo I liked the most is of a hardy worker using what looks like a splendid (relatively new) orbital sander. It, and he, appear to be doing a fine job.
ReplyDeleteOBTW - if the yellow sticker is for a Maytag clearance refrig. from Home Depot, mom and may have happened to see the same one at Home Depot yesterday too. We were there to get some wood glue and fancy molding (I am rebuilding and refinishing the secretary). As we walked through the appliance dept. from the molding to the glue aisles, we envisioned your appliance shopping. We stopped at the Maytag and the salesman honed in on us. After we told him why were were looking at appliances he said that if we WERE interested in a single door/freezer below unit he would definitely steer us away from THAT one. We did not ask why, but now wish we did.
Don't you feel like a grown up shopping for appliances and refinishing furniture. Looks like fun.
