It's Nice To Stair...
After several years of worn-out-ness and 15 months after ordering a new runner for the stair and after 13 months of candy cane stripe duct tape (mom has been so patient) then 10 months after it was delivered the new carpet on the stairs was finally laid on 1/23 &1/24.
The new carpeting job started by stapling down new pad.
The wood on the edges was refinished 4-5 months ago. All those dented reminders of a half a dozen pair of little feet ... and not so little feet... going up and down those steps thousands of times over the past 25 years were puttied, sanded and stained away.
If you think it looks nice --- that's nothing compared to how nice in feels going upstairs and downstairs in bare feet.

I can't help but stair in aww of how nice that looks. And I'm curious how long this runner will last without teenage boys (and probably some girls) jumping on to the landing multiple times each day. It looks great thanks for sharing

ReplyDeleteThe new runner looks so great! I'm so happy you were able to find the time to install it (although I don't know how you found that time). Oh this is just another reason to come to 336 as soon as we get the chance! I can't wait to admire this project in person.
Now that is fancy! LOOKING GOOD! Now come on out and do some projects with us...I guess thats what happens when you are so handy....you become very recruited!
