THE SECRET GARDEN

The Secret Passageway has become the Secret Garden.
It all started when Mom got Dad several climbing Star Jasmine plants for Father's Day.  It blossomed (so to speak) with the idea to create a lovely view from the kitchen table... for Mom and Dad to enjoy when they have dinner... all by themselves... day after day... and it would be nice to have something nice to look at besides the oldy white lattice... and each other.
Hopefully the new redwood frames that Dad made will eventually be lushly covered.
2013 was the first year that Mom and Dad celebrated an anniversary with NO children in the nest... no bubbling giggles and youthful noises on Ivy Ave.  So for their anniversary they gave each other a bubbling fountain.  It has already given countless tranquil dinners and peaceful patio conversations.

  2. Oh I do miss sitting on the porch on lovely California nights listening to the fountain! Just one more reason to visit 336 more often.
