What Rachel and Spencer were up to while the rest of you swam and watched the game:

The night we got the hotel, everyone was saying congratulations. It was hilarious. We joked that in a year we should come back in a white dress + suit and just spend one night, and see how many comments we get.

The view from our window was swell: 12th floor, corner room.
In the morning we headed out the door for some food and sightseeing. The lobby at the Westin was just lovely. Our whole stay there was marvelous.

In Old Town Pasadena we had lunch at Louise's Trattoria . . . OH. MY. GOODNESS. The food was divine. Our meal was incredibly simple, but so so tasty.

Also, I had my first experience with Valet parking. It was actually cheaper than the overnight parking fee, so we felt pretty classy standing beside people waiting for their Bentleys and such.
On an evening drive we got incredibly close to the Dodgers Stadium, and we experienced the traffic that goes along with it. We even saw the lights of the field from the street. On our way back I told Spencer I'd always wanted to go on that bridge with the three-bulb lanterns. We strolled about half way down the bridge, and it was just as nice as I'd imagined. We also found this fancy little place to get a treat. They sell churros and dipping chocolate, but we were still too full from lunch to get any.
We enjoyed the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. It was not continental, it was not free, but it was tasty, and we loaded up our plate as high as we could.

I really really really (really really) like hanging out with this Spencer kid. I couldn't be happier to be stuck with someone like him.
