Spencer and I flew into Milwaukee Tuesday night. Sweet Sister Twelmeyer took good care of us before we headed off to bed, only to wake up early the next morning to meet up with the Sisters Petersen.
It was a beautiful drive up north a little. There was a little fog that made everything misty and lovely. There were genuine silos and red barns. I do rather like Wisconsin.
We met at George Webb, a fancy local version of Denny's with the tastiest pancakes I've ever had. Sister Petersen and Sister Erin Petersen were there, and the four of us had a grand ol' time.
Every George Webb has two clocks, reminiscing the era when they weren't allowed to be open 24 hours, so when time was up, they just went by the other clock.
I'm pretty happy that this rendezvous happened, it was really nice to see my old friend on American soil.
We love a Wisconsin report. Oh Sister Cornwall and Sister Petersen together again. That is fun to see. So happy that you were able to get together. Oh man does that Spencer know how to pick places to eat. Hope there is more to come.
ReplyDeleteHow fun!!! I am glad that you are getting to do so much while you are out there.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm wishing I was in Wisconson.
