General Conference
This weekend was General Conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is a meeting held twice a year where modern day Prophets and Apostles (just like Moses, Noah, and Peter James, and John) speak to the world. Their words are inspired and inspiring. It was once said that General Conference should be a life changing experience. The counsel given helps me to see changes I need to make in my life to be more aligned with the will of God. Although it is broadcast all over the world, living in Utah allowed us the privilege to attend the conference live in Salt Lake City. It was fun to be there with Sarah, Rachel and Spencer. We made a day out of it seeing the sites of Salt Lake and eating a picnic in between meetings. I even ran into a family from my mission: The Phipps. He was bishop of the Ozark Ward in Alabama.

ReplyDeleteWonderful to see a Cornwall kids conference at General Conference. Nice photos J & R. How nice to bump into the Phipps... generally speaking.
ReplyDeleteI have the fondest memories of going to conference. I am so glad you were able to all go together. There is nothing like temple square on conference morning.
