Snowbird

With Thursday being a reading day, the three of us boys (Jared, Connecticut and myself) decided to use our voucher passes to Snowbird. (We attempted to go before and after buying our passes from a ski shop, discovered the poor, icy conditions of the snow and got vouchers.) It had been snowing all week and was even snowing when we arrived. Result: POWDER. We decided to take the lifts all the way to the top right from the start. We were all in great anticipation as we peered down into the abyss of fog and snow. Each of us leaned o'er the edge and one by one dived in. I started off and after some time realize I was alone. I halted. Soon Jared caught up. Unbeknown to us, Connecticut had little to no powder skiing experience. Shortly after he plunged into the deep, he quickly sank a ski in the snow and fell. He realized that there was not two, but one ski attached to his foot. The other, buried in the snow. After a couple hours of unsuccessful searching, we succumbed to the fate that had landed on us and called ski patrol to bring an extra ski so he could get down the mountain. I thought the day would be over for poor Connecticut and even myself, but Snowbird was kind enough to allow him to borrow the ski for the day. After that infamous incident, our remaining time on the mountain was amazing. The clouds parted and the day became gorgeous. The powder was amazing. We had a grand 'ol time. It ended with a hearty meal at In-N-Out. A glorious outing to end an amazing semester, school year, and college career.
