KANSAS CORNWALLS @ 336
25th - Jason & Stefanie and kids arrive in Monrovia... from their base camp in Palmdale. After opening presents at 336 it was off to (Great) Grandpa Cornwall's, in La Canada.
26th - We attended church at the Monrovia Ward. Our guests included the fun Larsen boys (who had spent the night while ma and pa Larsen were attending to some urgent business at the maternity ward of Methodist Hospital).
Sunday afternoon Mom & Dad stopped by the hospital so the 3 big brothers could meet and greet their new baby sister... born 2:30 am that morning.
Sunday evening we cruised to a very good place for visiting... the L.A. Temple Visitor's center.
We paused for a sentimental photo - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Jas and Stef for their wedding 8 years ago.

After seeing the lights on temple hill there was strolling and HOT chocolate from Grandma.
27th - Monday morning we paid a visit to The Grove/Farmers Market at 3rd & Fairfax, one of the most historically famous spots in L.A.... so they say.
One of the main attractions (for little girls everywhere) is the American Girl doll store.

There is a special treat place at the Farmers Market. (We will have to go there straight-a-way next time we have visitors from Connecticut.)

We did a lot of window shopping... looking at all the cute things in the store displays.

We enjoyed a couple of gourmet pizzas from the Farmers Market and ate them in the upstairs dining hall.
Always a highlight is the ride on the double decker trolley through The Grove.
The afternoon was reserved for all 9 of us seeing... and loving... Disney's latest animated feature - Tangled. Then it was goodbye to the Jas Cornwalls who headed back up to Palmdale and some special Whelchel family times throughout the rest of the week for Bro. & Sister Whelchel's 50th wedding anniversary.
