Today is a special day for Mothers and women all over the world. I wanted to take this opportunity to tell My Mom how special she is to me. I am going to start at the very beginning. I now have a better understanding, more than ever before what it is like to carry a baby for nine months, (granted I have the easy part, Marybeth knows a lot better than me.) But I wanted to say thank you for enduring that 9 months for however bad or good it might have been. Thank you for staying up with me when I wanted to spend time with you and couldn't go to sleep , when I was only a few months old. Thank you for teaching me to walk, talk, and laugh. Thank you for holding me when I would cry or letting me know when I did something wrong, (the later occured more than the former). Thank you for putting up with me during the hard years. When at times I cared only about myself and what I wanted and stomped up the stairs in a "moody mood." Thank you for watching countless hours of me on the field, or any other event. But one of my favorite things is the advancements in technology so that I can talk to (or text) you whenever I want. Thank you for listening, laughing, and talking with me. I am happy to say that we have a great relationship and friendship. I have learned so much from you about service, sacrifice and love of the gospel. There is no Mother I would rather have than you. Thank you for all that you do and I am even more excited for you to be a grandma to our little boy. I hope you have a great day . I LOVE YOU.
I also wanted to wish Saree Sarah a very happy birthday. The big 1-8 that is big time. I hope that you have a great day as well. Last B-day before the big B-Y-U.
Robb - thank you for the beautiful sentiments!! I am having a wonderful day. I am the luckiest mother in the world to have blessed children and grandchildren. There is nothing like becoming a parent to appreciate your own parents. I LOVE YOU
ReplyDeleteI have always felt that one does not appreciate, to any extent, their parents until they taste parenting themselves. It's a sweet part of the circle of life. And let me just stay, to RB & MB... you ain't seen/felt nothin' yet.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful thoughts you shared Robb, for your great mom. She's the best.
