PIONEER FOOTPRINTS

Mom, Sarah, & Dad
returned Saturday evening from a 3 day Handcart Trek Reenactment.
A few photos for this post...
(Dad took over 300 pics and video clips.
More will follow... and follow... and follow...)

The Cornwall Mary-Ott
for the 2nd night on the trail.

The "Yeeellllllooooow" Ma & Pa

The beginning of Testimony Hill...
(It would go on for a couple miles.)

At this point the men had joined the Battalion.
(" Ma" is in the yellow cap, just behind the handcart.)

Sarah had a special treat with some of the local cowgirls.
Our bodies are recovering, while our spirits are soaring.

  1. That looks like a lot of fun and a lot of work! It looks like some great sleeping conditions. Good job, you guys made fine pioneers!

  2. Whooooaaaahhhhh! (hehehe) that looks like fun! What hardy folk are in our stake! I miss some of those kids, and being eligible for youth conference in general quite frankly.

And I will not be at all put out by the fact that my only association with this whole event was a reference to a minor auditory error made in primary when I was very young and refers to certain temporary living quarters we'll all very fond of. hmph!

  3. What a fun experience and that all three of you were there together. I think you will all remember this past weekend forever. It sure makes one appreciate the Pioneers.

  4. We had a great time and now that it is over it just gets better and better in my memory. Great kids, great leaders, great activity.

  5. You are two really outstanding people. I don't think I would have been to thrilled to be pulling a handcart, sleeping on the ground, and enduring the heat! Way to go!
