The Montana had to go in the shop one too many times. The transmission went out a couple of weeks ago, so who would be crazy enough to put another few thousand dollars into a car with a couple hundred thousand miles on it? We wanted to get the Highlander Dad has been dreaming of before the big new (aghhh!) California taxes went into effect today. There are a lot of great deals on used vehicles these days. We'll see you all real soon. We are so anxious to take road trip.
I'll admit that I got very excited . . . until I remembered a little story about the unfortunate repercussions of a little salt in the sugar bowl!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I wish this was true because Mom and Dad deserve it, I am with Rachel.
ReplyDeleteI am super impressed with the picture. The line on the garage appears to extend through the window, and the pavement under the car is very convincing. However, the reflection in the window is a little suspicious, so the picture being doctored leads to more scrutiny on this very mischievous day.
ReplyDeleteMy only follow up is whether or not "a new car" was a 2009 prediction and who would have theoretically predicted correctly?
ReplyDeleteThat would be really fun, One thing that I kinda tipped me off was that the highlander would be replacing the Montana. If there was a Highlander parked in the 336 drive way you better believe it would be parked on the right side and not the left side of the drive. That is pretty fun
ReplyDeleteRach:
ReplyDeleteDon't you think there is a big difference between salt & steel?
Katie:
You bet we deserve it!
Dallin:
To bad clicking on the photo doesn't make it any larger or who knows what Dallin's all-seeing eye would be able to pick out. Predictions is Mom's department.
Robb:
Hey, a new Highlander deserves the middle of driveway. Everything else that could wing a dent is on the street.
I didn't even see this post until right now (our internet has been out at home). If only this wasn't an April Fool's joke!!!!!
