15 Month update
  • Tries on my shoes
  • Pulls shoes individually out of our closet and matches them up correctly
  • Stops right in the middle of the street (every time)
  • Brings me a book and wants to sit on my lap so I can read it to her (priceless moment)
  • Picks up rocks (will stop anytime she sees a rock to squat down and pick it up)
  • Has no trouble with steps and is very balanced on different leveled ground
  • Walks around with a towel or some article of clothing over her head
  • Dances to music (dancing consists of walking around in circles which just makes her laugh and laugh)
  • Constantly attached to my belly button and she laughs when we play with hers
  • Loves to lay down on the pillows on our bed and I often see her laying down on towels, stuffed animals, and clothes
  • Loves to open all the kitchen cupboards and drawers which means there is usually a little mess
  • Mimic our movements, she can do the spider in eensy weensy spider, yoga poses, snap her fingers
  • Learning the purpose of things
    • she picked up a Q tip and knew to put it in my ear
    • grabs the dust pan and helps me sweep the floor
    • when she was going through the utensil drawer she picked out the cooking (paint) brush and started painting her toys
    • she found the hot pads in a drawer and hid them in another cupboard (luckily I saw her otherwise I would not have known where they were)
  • She has found where we store the cheerio box and obviously found the fastest way to eat as many as possible
  • I feel fine leaving her on the couch because she can get off by herself except for the other day I left her and came back and she was trying to climb over the arm of the couch. It would have been a long fall to the ground
  • Makes music with our pots
  • Stands in front of the fridge and whines until I open it and get her some grapes
  • Her first real TOOTH has poked through
  • She has always said Dada but now she understands that it is the name for Dallin and she has learned how to say HOT and not just on demand. Yesterday I had my curlers in and she said hot and we were cooking on the stove together and she said hot. I guess that means that I am a cautious mother and always tell her when things are hot.
  • All time favorite thing to do play catch and throw with any ball

  1. It is a grand thing to hear how Miss Elizabeth is growing up and doing so many new "grown-up" activities. We love to have it shared with us. It makes us realize how long it has been seen we have had the joy of seeing her (you and Dallin too, but you guys don't change much in between visits.+
