Jason has been on our minds a lot with his recent trip to Kansas, etc... When I saw this video I thought I am so glad we have a bright electrical engineer in the family. I am sure he can tell us all what the guy in this video is talking about. Also he can answer the question is the below linked video LOL funny?

I didn't watch the whole thing, "if I am being honest with you" So I think it is safe to say that I think it is A that it only applies to Jason, and if not to him then to no one in this family. at least me. but fun to look at
ReplyDeleteI basically know what the guy in the video is talking about. On the most basic level the 'Retroencabulator' is a computer controlled motor. I actually did a little research on this video and I found out that it is really a joke to make fun of all the real educational/ instructional videos out there. But as far as my answer to the multiple choice question, I choose A. I have gotten to the point where things like this and things like math jokes are really funny to me so I guess I am really becoming a 'true' engineer.
ReplyDeleteLet me set up the circumstances of me watching this video. I came in to make a post, dad is drafting at the computer. New post on the blog - got to look at it - oh yea, it is from dad. I click on the link and start the video. I am about to abort the viewing and vote with Robb - when I hear this soft chuckling come from behind me. I glanced over my shoulder and saw that dad's body was slightly heaving up and down with laughter even though he wasn't looking at the screen and had obviously seen it a couple of times. It made me want to continue. Soon tears were streaming down his face - he was careful not to let the tears fall on his plans. He then uttered these words - "this is the funniest video I have ever seen". So I guess my vote is "C" - but I certainly don't fall into that category.
ReplyDeleteOkay - based on those residing at 336 - the only way this will be funny is if Will Ferrel did the same sketch, same dead-pan, same dialog. THEN it would be funny.
